Do we need calendars?

Wouldn't it be convenient if we could remember all our appointments without calendars? But we can't and therefore we have them. Through the years calendars have evolved from simple paper items to online, shared intranet agenda's. But calendars printed on quality paper and hung on a wall or set on a desktop, still seem to out-perform the electronic versions: the tangible ones combine function with charm. This is one reason why we continue selling them.

There was much less of this flying about we all seem to be caught up in, when people rode on horseback and the pace of life was much, much slower. But then there was the problem of horse-flies.

So, whichever way we look at the matter, this is what it eventually comes down to: either time flies or horse-flies.
